Partnership in Action: PFOCN, SPA, and the Singapore Embassy Unite for Community Impact
In line with our mission to support young local artists and strengthen the partnership between De La Salle University and PFOCN, we launched the PFOCN Culture Wall Art and Design Competition in collaboration with DLS-College of Saint Benilde (CSB).
Inspired by a professional advice session with renowned Singaporean artists in November 2024, the competition officially launched in February 2025. It featured two categories—Hangable Artworks and Sculptures—and provided participants with materials to bring their visions to life. We received an enthusiastic response, with around 40 entries submitted. The shortlisted works were exhibited on campus for two weeks.
On November 20, a distinguished panel of judges from CSB evaluated the final pieces. We extend our deepest gratitude to the jurors:
• Mr. Augusto "Gus" Albor, a visionary of national artist caliber.
• Mr. Hendrick Huang & Ms. Sunny Wang of PFOCN.
• Benilde faculty members: Architects Gerry Torres, Alexander Abear, and Erika Dia.
This event's success is a tribute to the talented student artists, dedicated organizers, and all who supported this vision. PFOCN remains committed to nurturing creativity and empowering the next generation, believing that true progress is measured by the hearts and communities it touches.
